The conspiracy of the century. A plan to re-engineer the global climate. Only a pair of American and Chinese youth stand in their way.

The China Front is a fast-paced thriller about real and imagined conspiracies, about xenophobia and interracial relations. It's a story about good intentions and whether ends justify means.

This story is seen through the eyes of a young man who is trying to navigate this crazy world and his coming of age ordeal, only to realize he’s in over his head.

Fiction with some truth.

As I neared the end of my three-year stint living in China, I felt inspired to write about it. However I didn’t want it to sound cliche - like all the other memoirs of an American living in China. Then a friend gave me the idea that writing fiction might be more fun. Thus The China Front was born.

The common wisdom is that all good fiction comes from some truth. So I took elements of my time living in China and incorporated it into the novel. For example, I spent eight months teaching English to the Assistant President of China’s fourth largest state-owned oil company, Sinochem (the picture to the right is the imposing facade of the Sinochem building). In The China Front, the main character is set up to spy on the main villain - an oil company executive - by posing as his English teacher.

The main conspiracy in the story revolves around geoengineering, and attempts to separate the imagined conspiracies from the real science of geoengineering.
